Audition: Verizon Wireless @ Digital Dogs Casting --- Ok, I've been into this office several times, gotten a callback once, but haven't booked anything yet. This particular campaign would be a HUGE help to me if I book it; the commercial features an "undisclosed 'BIG BIG BIG' musical celebrity", which pretty much guarantees a lot of airings, which, in turn guarantees a lot of residual money for yours truly.
News of this audition was received at 6:30pm last Friday, just after I had been recalled on Studio 60 as an audience member for today. Blast! Since I wasn't too keen on calling out or canceling, I opted for Choice B: pretend to get sick while on set. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
The audition went well, there were no sides, there will only be hoping and praying.
On another note, I'm extremely excited about the student film I booked, Counting Down. I'm an FBI Agent who turns out to be an assassin (what is with all the 'bad girl masking as good girl' roles? Love it!) The script, amazingly, is decent and a perfect bit for my reel for any lawyer/cop roles I might go out for in the future. The actor opposite me is great (we had our first read-through yesterday and I was duly impressed) and I'm looking forward to shooting the film. Yay new reel footage!

Random aside: On set today they had us drinking this concoction:
A 16 ounce can of Socko Slim contains 160 milligrams of caffeine.
Sock Slim is a diet drink (no sugar and 1g carbs per 8oz serving). In addition to the 160mg of caffeine, the drink also containts 2000mg of taurina in a 16oz can.
It is sweetened with Splenda.
It also tastes like a green Pixy stick.
