Wait, what about dooce? I love Heather, although I haven't read in quite some time. Does this person not like her? What's not to like? One of my favorite entries is from when she was still working at the-company-that-shall-not-be-named and walked in singing "Smack My Bitch Up."
Oh. And I do see her point (and agree) about anti-depressants becoming far too common and an easy answer -- kind of like sticking a band-aid on the wound but doing nothing to the problem itself -- but as someone who's been on and off them for years, I definitely HAVE to be on them. It's a chemical thing. Believe me, if I could be medication-less, I would...
Re: dooce; yeah, V has a slight problem with dooce, although i can't remember the post where she expressed her hatred. Personally, I adore Heather as well; besides having hilarious posts, she takes great pictures!

As far as anti depressants go, I understand some people have a genuine chemical imbalance (my roommate is ADHD, and having seen her both on and off her medication, I understand she does need to be on it), but the general over prescribing of drugs is not something I agree with. Plus, I just think far fewer people would even believe they needed the quick fix of medication if they would take care of deeper, more psychological explanations instead.

Hopefully that made sense; I woke up at 4am this morning to go dress in Army fatigues and crawl around an obstacle course in 96 degree weather for 10 hours. Ah, background work. Look for me on Weeds!. ;)

Yup. Prozac is the new Ritalin. It's sad, really. I'm still hoping there will come a day where the strongest thing I take is Advil...

Hope you recover from your obstacle course-crawling day! :)
