"If Jesus spoke to you, would he sound like any of our clients?"
Hmm...
The upside? I have an audition tomorrow for a TV show for a possible recurring co-star (Yeah, they SAY it's just a co-star, but its the little sis to one of the series regulars...I smell recurring!).
The downside? I've never seen this show, and after watching two episodes online today, I can honestly say it's AWESOME! Now I got MORE stuff to Tivo!
Anyway, please send any and all good vibes to Gaping Maw care/of Hollywood, Hell-A. Thanks muchly!
In any case, I'm getting out on good stuff. Something else's gotta break soon!!
Quick things because I'm currently in a state of simultaneous indifference
and apathy:
This is Sidedesk's last week at the office. More specifically, her last
three days; as of Thursday, Middledesk and I will become the sole full-time
assistants to The Boss's madness. I doubt such a change will warrant a
change of nickname for the girl. Sidedesk essentially got a business offer
from her step-father that she couldn't refuse, so she's moving back to the
midwest, although we are invited to a going-away blowout in Vegas this
weekend.
Audition-wise, it's been great lately....For television: Lost, How I Met
Your Mother, a new pilot called Meet the Browns. And commercially doing ok
as well; Samsung, Jitterbug, ASICS.... Yet only one booking thus far. And
yes, its a television booking, and no, I'm not going to tell what it is
except that it's a brand new show, and my episode will air about a month
from now. But still, a small 'yay' is in order, no doubt. Still, it was
all too easy to sink back into the general twitchiness I get when I feel
like my career isn't going quite the way I wish it to. In this case, the
fact that I didn't immediately have four more bookings is a source of great
distress ;)
